Margaret River Wildlife Hospital Launch Event — Privacy Policy

Responsible event organiser: Margaret River Wildlife Hospital

We respect your privacy and appreciate the trust you place in us when registering for the Margaret River Wildlife Hospital launch and fundraising event.

Information we collect and why

We collect the information reasonably needed to manage your registration and participation. This may include your name, contact details, ticket and payment confirmation, guest details, and any dietary or accessibility requirements you choose to provide.

We use this information to process bookings, manage attendance, provide essential event information, respond to enquiries and meet applicable financial or legal obligations. Without the required registration details, we may be unable to complete your booking.

Please provide only the dietary or accessibility information needed to support your attendance. You do not need to provide a diagnosis or detailed medical history. Where this information reveals sensitive health information, we will seek your express consent to collect and use it and to disclose the minimum necessary details to relevant event providers.

Who can access your information

Registration information is accessible only to authorised people and service providers who need it to deliver the event, such as the registration platform, payment processor and relevant venue or catering staff.

We do not sell, rent or provide guest contact lists to sponsors, advertisers or other organisations for their own marketing. Supporting or partnering in the event does not automatically entitle an organisation to receive your personal information.

Any necessary disclosure is limited to the event-related purpose, unless you separately authorise another use or disclosure, or disclosure is required or authorised by law.

Registering another guest

If you register someone else, please ensure they know you are providing their details and have access to this policy. Do not opt them into marketing on their behalf. Obtain their permission before providing dietary or accessibility information about them.

Security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Access is restricted to those who need it for their role.

We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here and applicable legal or recordkeeping requirements. When no longer required, we securely delete or de-identify it. We may retain a minimal record of an unsubscribe request to ensure your preference continues to be respected.

Access, correction and privacy concerns

You can contact us to request access to or correction of your personal information, withdraw consent, request deletion where possible, or raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
